WoodWorkerCalculator

Thanks to the WoodWorker Calculator, you will never be stuck doing tricky measurement conversions or adding difficult fractions… it will do it all for you effortlessly.

The WoodWorker Calculator is the ideal instrument designed for woodworkers, contractors, and carpenters who need a quick and easy method to solve all of their measurement needs and/or conversions. Unlike most calculators, figures can be entered and displayed in feet, inches, fractions, or any other useful combination.

The calculator features five functions:

•The Fractional/Decimal calculator can compute numbers in yards, feet, and inches in either fractional or decimal units. Nobody wants to add 1’ 3 and 3/64” to 1/8” in their head, let alone divide them. Let the Wood Worker Calculator do it for you. Fractions are presented in terms of what you would expect on a ruler: halves, quarters, eights, sixteenths, thirty-seconds, and sixty-fourths.

•The Board Foot Calculator Function lets you enter the board width, length, thickness, and cost per board foot. Board feet and cost are then calculated with a touch of the screen. Shopping for multiple boards? Enter each one and the calculator keeps a running total of board feet and cost.

•The Conversion Function converts metric units to inches or inches to metric units. An up-arrow button allows you to cycle from inches to feet to yards and back to inches. The same function is available for metric units. You can easily cycle from millimeters to centimeters to meters and back to millimeters.

•The Stair Calculator Function determines riser height, tread widths, total run, stringer length, and floor opening length. All numbers are checked against the building codes that you enter for your region.

•The Compound Angle Calculator Function computes the blade tilt and miter gauge setting to achieve the desired side slope and angle. Both compound miters and compound butted joints can be calculated. Want to build a 5-sided box with a slope of 70º? The Wood Worker Calculator will have the answer for you in seconds. It’s just that easy!

•The Crown Molding Calculator Function computes your saw’s miter angle and bevel angle. Just enter the wall angle and the crowns spring angle and your done

•The Baluster Calculator Function computes the spacing and centers between balusters. It even provides for angled railings. Does your railing have balusters at both ends, one end or no ends? No problem, it handles all these cases. All edges or centers are displayed. Just pick up your tape measure and make the marks.
